Slip ring applications
      Slip rings are being used in various fields from decades. The applications of slip rings are too many to count, ranging from its use in the sea to the space. From welding equipment to food processing machinery, packaging machinery, arcade machines, amusement rides, CCTV cameras, military defence equipment, antennas, medical and health care products, wind mills, flight simulators, car wash equipment, irrigation equipment, to railroad equipment utility trucks, measurement equipment, conveyor systems, drilling equipment, and tower cranes, its uses are endless.  

Mercury slip ring
      Mercury slip rings are known for their low resistance and stable connection. For a conductive media, mercury slip ring uses mercury contact, which proves to be successful in transferring current and signal through liquid metal under normal temperature.

      Mercury slip rings provide strong stability and are known for making no electrical noise. These slip rings are considered to be most economical rotary instruments for various industrial applications.


      Mercury slip rings are most suitable for transfer of power and signal in rotating devices or instruments. It provides better quality than traditional slip rings and requires almost no maintenance. It has integrated structural design and is very easy to install. 


      It can be applies to any rotating object including tiny voltage, EMF, audio and video signals, high frequency, and computer signals.
Mercury slip rings present a serious contamination threat if used in food manufacturing or processing and pharmaceutical equipment because of its leakage. Its use is also limited by temperature because mercury solidifies at -40 °C.

 

Through hole slip ring
      Through hole slip ring, also known as hollow slip ring, has a hole in its centre. These slip rings are applied to devices that require 360° rotation to transmit power and signals.

      These slip rings are used where a hole is required to pass a shaft for the transfer of signals or power. They are specially designed for small spaces and are commonly used in generators and wind turbines. 


      Through hole slip rings offer an advanced, multi-point contact brush technology that ensured reliable contact with low friction. It also includes a metal housing that provides a better protection. It has an integrated structure design and supports easy installation. These can be customized according to circuit numbers, current, and voltage based on standard models. The hole size varies from 3mm to 300mm according to requirement.
